June 26-28 (Fri-Sun) Tipton, MI - The Not a VW Campout. The event will be held at the Ja Do Campground. The cost is $27 for 2 people, with an additional fee of $1.00 per extra person. This includes water and electric hook-ups. All kinds of vehicles welcome, camp in a van or a tent. You will need to make reservations! July 12 (Sunday) Lebanon CT - Connecticut Volkswagen Club's 5th Annual New England Volks-Meet at the new location of the Lebanon Lions Fairgrounds. This show will be to commemorate the twenty fourth anniversary of the CVA. Saturday night there will be camping available on the grounds and the usual campfires for telling your old Volkswagen stories. There will also be a live band and maybe a local car cruise. On Sunday the car show and swap meet will take place. There will be plenty of vendors and a people's choice car show. This event will be open to all Volkswagen and German cars, owners and anyone who just enjoys a great day out. The show starts at 9am and goes on until 3pm. Trophies will be awarded by people's choice in many different classes. The show will be held rain or shine. There will be dash plaques and goody bags to the first 200 cars. This is a great LiMBO sponsored event in beautiful southern Vermont adjacent to the West River. If the river level is high enough, this is a great place for Xtreme tubing. **July 24-26 (Fri-Sun) Portsmouth, RI - 3rd Annual Buses In The Bay at the Melville Campground, 181 Bradford Ave. The campground is just north of Newport and near the beach! Check in Friday is 11AM to 8PM, and check out is 11AM Sunday. You will need to call (401) 682-2424 to make reservations between 10AM and 5 PM only! (The campground does not take reservations by email.) When you make your reservation, tell them you are with LiMBO. After calling in your reservation you must mail a deposit to hold your reservation. They do not accept credit cards! PLEASE RESERVE EARLY!!! DON'T MISS OUT! Some of us may have to double up on the electric outlets which is OK with them. This year's cruise is to a local vineyard on Saturday afternoon followed by a pot luck dinner and raffle Saturday night. Come enjoy our great little state! August 1 (Saturday) Shrewsbury, MA- Volks-Vair Fair. This annual show & swap meet is at Heberts Candy Mansion on Rt 20 Shrewsbury. Air cooled only show for VWs and Corvairs. Rain or shine. Trophies to 3rd place. Sponsored by The Bug club and Colonial Corvair Club. Great time, music, food plus great candy and ice cream at the Hebert Candy Mansion. Contact Gerry Anderson: 603-898-2874 .
August 7-9 (Fri-Sun), Brooklin Ont, Buses Of The Corn. This is a family event for VW Bus owners. The event is held Brooklin, a small community just North of Whitby, Ontario Canada, in the Group Camping area of Heber Down Conservation Area. The group camping area has pit toilets and showers, and will accommodate at least 120 buses, so there is plenty of room to go around. There is a large fire pit for group campfires, and 2 covered picnic shelters with barbecues. There is a severely limited amount of hydro available on the site, and it is recommended that you bring your own drinking water. Plenty of picnic tables are provided. Pets must be leashed. August 16 (Sunday) Terryville, CT - 18th Annual Connecticut Bug-A-Fair at the Terryville Fairgrounds,129-176 Town Hill Road. Overnight Camping the night before, $10/vehicle. Car show, 40 classes, over 100 awards. Swap meet, new parts vendors, games for kids. Car show surface is grass. Dash plaques to first 300 registered cars. Spectator Admission - $7.00, Kids Under 12 are free, Car Show Admission - $13.00 (Car & Driver), Swap Spaces - $30/Space. Food and indoor restrooms available. August 16 (Sunday) Brewerton, NY - Salt City VW Show (Syracuse region) on a grassy field at Oneida Shores Park. Help make their 6th show their biggest and best year. Food, music, pet and kid friendly, a good time for all. Sponsored by the VWCCNY Club.

Sept 4-7 (Friday-Monday) - Kampers Near Knoebels IX, an annual Labor Day VW Bus Family Campout celebration to mark the end of the summer camping season. Located at Indian Head Campground, Bloomsburg, PA along the banks of the Susquehanna River and Fishing Creek. Enjoy short hikes, kayaking and canoeing, biking, campfire chats, the Friday evening ice cream social, Saturday morning caravan to Knoebels Amusement Park, and the Sunday brunch pot luck. Tent site price for group members is $23 per night (regular price is $29), and A section (W/E sites) is $25 per night (regular price is $31). Contact the campground directly for reservations. There is plenty of room for all VW/Corvair lovers. Hot showers and flush toilets just feet away from the group area. There's also a camp store. Sept 12 (Saturday), Deer Park, NY - Long Island Volkswagen Club 8th Annual All VW Show at the Knights of Columbus, 759 Long Island Ave. Show admission is free for spectators, free t-shirts for the first 100 show cars. Sept 19-20 (Sat-Sun) Flanders, NJ All Air-Cooled Gathering hosted by the Central Jersey Volkswagen Society and the Swim and Sport Club located at 272 Emmans Rd. Come spend an all air-cooled VW weekend at this pastoral setting Gates will open at 2:00 pm on Saturday for camping, and VW camaraderie, and again at 8:00 am on Sunday for the show and swap meet. Everyone is welcome to enter the show, daily drivers to show cars. As long as it’s an air-cooled VW, it’s welcome. All proceeds will go to the Jonathan Fund. A fund set up to help aid the family of Jonathan Ferguson, a local Flander’s boy who was born with a debilitating medical condition. Trophies – Dash Plaques – Raffle Prizes – On-site bar and kitchen. The food is great and everything is reasonably priced. No need to bring your own food! **Sept 25-27 (Fri-Sun) Watkins Glen, New York - Westies at Watkins 2009. Discover the beauty of the Watkins Glen Gorge and beautiful surrounding Finger Lakes Region of New York. Activities for all, including hiking, biking, caravaning, wine tasting, and campfire festivities. Campout in the Onondaga Village Loop at Watkins Glen State Park for $20/night. No RESERVATIONS required. Full Moon Bus Club style - breakfast burritos will be served Saturday morning. Pot Luck Saturday night - bring a dish to share. Optional racetrack events on SUNDAY Sept. 27. We will be able to drive your VW on the racetrack for a few laps. ($15 per vehicle). Come on the track or in the grand stands. October 8 -11 (Thurs-Sun) Greensboro, NC EveryBus XI held at Hagan-Stone Park located approximately 10 miles south of Greensboro. This event has been held in April in past years, but has been moved to October this year. Campground facilities include 2 heated bathhouses with showers. The camping fee is about $15 per night, and no pre-registration is required. Just sign in at the registration table when you arrive, pay the fees, and receive your camping permit. No need to contact the park. There's room for 175 to 200 buses in the camping area, (C-loop). There are only 40 hook-ups, so arrive early if you want them and be prepared to share with other campers. Count on good food, music, and fun for the kids. Please note: The possession and consumption of alcohol (beer, wine, and liquor) is prohibited within HSP and the campground, so none of these articles should be visible. All pets at HSP must be on a leash and pet owners must clean up after their animals. **October 11 (Sunday) - Brookline, MA - Transporterfest/VW Day at the historic Larz Anderson Auto museum. All VWs welcome; shiny, rusty, leaky, we love them all. Auto museum admission included with the registration fee. $12 includes parking spot on the lawn and admission for everyone in the vehicle. $25 for swap meet space. Event is held rain or shine. Please don't pre-register, just pay on the way in. Campout being planned for the night before the show, location will be determined later.
