Favorire Camp spot / attration in Mass

OK, time to talk about my home state!

I like Nickerson State Park - mainly because it is on the Cape Cod Rail Bike Trail. There are also bike trails through the park as well. Some of the bath rooms are pretty bad - as typical for Mass State Parks >:(, but they have been rebuilding them and the new ones are nice. You can ride quite some distance on the rail trail and take it to the beach as well.

While there places to visit are the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster. Take a hike out to Wing's Island behind the museum. Bring water shoes, the board walk floods at high tide. At low tide the tide goes out at least 1/2 miles creating what is called The Brewster Flats. The fire engine museum, also on 6A in Brewster is well worth visit. Any of the Sundae School ice cream shops are worth visiting.

The clam shack near the entrance to Nickerson is a great place to get fried clams. Bike rentals available near by.

Eat at the Bee Hive on 6A in Sandwich on the way home. Great chowder, clam cakes (fritters) and stuffies (stuffed quahogs)!
