See rare Audi models, the nicest examples of VW’s, BMW, Mercedes and other European marks. Take the epic drive to our giant show field nestled in the Catskill Mountains. May 14 (Sat) Charlotte, NC – Charlotte Transporter Show 12. The event will be paired with a vintage bicycle show (also same as previous years), so throw your classic bike in your bus and come on out and enjoy both shows! Location: Thomas T. June 19 (Sun) Eurocar 2016 -  Cazenovia, NY - . It has become quite a community event, attracting over 250 beautiful European vehicles on our show-field at Lorenzo … along with, I would speculate, over 1,000 folks who come to enjoy the vehicles, the people, and a great outing on Father’s Day. For those new to the MGCC, the show is open to all European cars and motorbikes with about 20 separate classes for the different antique vehicles (model years prior to 1992) and one class for the contemporary cars (which tends to be mostly high-end sports cars). Father’s Day is June 19, 2016.

July 15-17 (Fri-Sun) Townshend, VT - West River Westies at Bald Mountain  Campground. 1760 State Forest Rd. Townsend, VT 05353. Bring your family and friends, pets, bicycles, tubes and rafts, cameras and something to share at the potluck supper. New this year will be the “Westy Healthy Heart Walk-A-Fest” at 10:30AM Saturday. It not only will draw awareness to heart disease but make a donation to Grace Cottage Hospital. This is a walk around the perimeter of the campground and similar to the 5 card draw poker game. Prizes will be awarded and the proceeds will go to Grace Cottage Hospital. We will have also a staff physician from the hospital to kick off the walk and answer any questions about heart disease. So come over and make new friends and greet the old ones. There will be tubing on the West River, bicycling on State Forest Road and enjoy the healthy heart potluck supper. Sept. 2 - 5 (Fri-Mon) Mark Twain Lake, MS - Buses Nowhere Near the Arch. Any era and all models of VW's are welcome to enjoy this BNNTA family-oriented VW camping event during the long Labor Day holiday weekend. Featuring VW-only camping on a 22 mile long lake, an informal VW Bus show, a fun and highly competitive best individual and best group campsite decoration contest, a scenic countryside caravan on Saturday to discover the sights of historic Hannibal, MO. Sept. 9 - 11 (Fri-Sun) Watkins Glen, New York – Westies at Watkins. Track side camping at the Watkins Glen International Raceway during the 2016 US Vintage Grand Prix race weekend. This camping event is sponsored by the Empire VW Camping Club with a special invitation from The Glen! ( Special week-end pricing package will be available to all VW owners, including camping spot for 2 vehicles, general admission to the track and children under 12 are free. All VWs are welcomed. Westies are not required; and tenting is OK. Activities for all car enthusiast, including access to the pits and paddock to get up close to vintage race cars and being cheered on by the on looking crowds as we drive our vintage VWs around the track.  Plenty of vintage automobile activities in town as well with parades and road rallies. Sept. 9 - 11 (Fri-Sun), Alfred ME – Buses by the Buoy
. I am pleased to announce that we have our campground fOr this years buses.  We will be at Walnut Grove Campground in Alfred, Maine. Phone (207) 324-1207; e-mail:; web site: Dates for this year are September 9-11, 2016. The pricing will be: BEFORE August 1st: $31.39 per night.AFTER August 1st: the price will be $34.88 per night. Prices include tax. Dave and I will be on site 62. Sites are wooded or in the field and have water and electric.  Sites are spacious.  They also have three cabins, call for pricing on those. Dogs are welcome but you MUST bring proof of rabies vaccination. There is a small store, rec hall, playground, horseshoe pits and a ball field.  They also offer such goodies as homemade doughnuts. Reminder:  Saturday night will be a potluck dinner.  We will have, turkey in a barrel available from the campground.  For those who wish, bring the recipe for your potluck dish to share with others who may want it.  No potluck breakfast Sunday morning.

Sept. 9 - 11 (Fri-Sun) Green Lane, PA – Buses by the Depot. Sponsored by the Bus Depot. Located in the scenic Perkiomen Valley, roughly midpoint between Philadelphia, Allentown, and Reading, PA, this scenic county park consists of over 3400 acres, three lakes, hiking and horseback trails, tennis courts, two playgrounds, and a nature center. Saturday caravan to nearby Bus Depot retail store. Join us afterwards for a potluck dinner back at the campground. Camping is very inexpensive ($10/night last year). Details at

Sept. 16 - 18 (Fri-Sun) Flanders, NJ – All Air-Cooled Gathering, German Swim and Sport Club, 272 Emmans Rd, Flanders, NJ 07836. VW camaraderie and the Sat. clubhouse party; and again at 8:00 am on Sunday for the show. We have kids games, "Dub Push", valve cover racing and a big swap meet. All air-cooled cars are welcome and encouraged to enter the show. There will be trophies, dash plaques, raffle prizes, on-site kitchen, bar and live music all weekend. Sept. 17 (Sat) Riverton, UT – Utah VW classic. Presented by the Utah Transporter Association and title sponsor KCW KUSTOM COACH WERKS. The show is the largest all VW event in Utah; car show, swap meet and community event held in the same location as last year (20 min south of Salt Lake). This year Blackline Racing will be building a motor for our grand raffle prize. The show raffle money and sponsorship donations go towards our club Christmas charity "Bussin for Santa" where we deliver Christmas to families in need. Oct. 1 (Sat) Oklahoma City, OK – Old Volks show 2016. Sponsored by VW club of Oklahoma City. For more than 30 years, The Old Volks Show has been ‘the’ place to see and show iconic VW’s. We will have more than 25 classes of both Air-Cooled and Water-Cooled. If you don't want to compete for one of the over 25 trophies, you can still put your VW or classic Porsche in the show area with the show cars for a reduced fee. We call this Preferred Parking. $20 to show a car and $10 for Preferred Parking. Spectators are free.The website with online registration will update as we get closer to the event:

Oct. 6-9 (Thur-Sun) Salem and Brookline, MA –Transporterfest/Volkswagen Day
. Join us Sunday for the 31st annual gathering of the Buses, and all VWs, on the historic lawn at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, 15 Newton St, Brookline, MA 02445. 9am – 3pm. Open to all VWs and swap meet sellers as well. No pre-registration, just show up on the day of the show. Event is rain or shine with on-site food vendor and indoor restrooms. $20 show registration includes auto museum admission for all passengers in vehicle. Oct. 16 (Sun) Old Saybrook, CT - The CVA’s 18th Annual Fall Foliage Cruise, starts at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed station, 55 Bridge Rd., Haddam, CT (Rt. 82), from 9am to ??? Held rain or shine this event will wind through the scenic roads of Connecticut with a few stops along the way. Please bring a picnic lunch. Dinner after the cruise for those that are interested. Oct. 21-23 (Fri-Sun) -  Lenhartsville, PA - Bustoberfest at Blue Rocks campground, 341 Sousley Rd, Lenhartsville, PA. Sites are $32/night, Brad and Andrea (your hosts) have booked the group site and two overflow sites. Bring your favorite craft/local beer and wine for tasting on Saturday in the afternoon. We will be having raffles to help support a local food pantry in Phoenixville, PA. Potluck Saturday night, door prizes and Halloween events happening at the campground.
