Repair Sun Faded Cabinets
« on: April 15, 2014, 03:26:25 PM »
I'm the "Happy Owner" of a 1969 Westy Weekender! It has all the stock Westy cabinets but they're really sun faded.
Any ideas on bringing the cabinets back to life? Thanks

GOOD NEWS!.....While at Bug-O-Rama I talked to a guy with "Shiny-New" cabinets his secret; TSP to clean the cabinets, then Lemon Oil. My Cabs were so dry I could hear a sucking sound as that Lemon Oil went back into the
wood. I checked the next morning to see if it was temp or perm......still  "Shiny-New".

"TSP to clean the cabinets, then Lemon Oil."

What kind of Lemon Oil??  Such as: Johnson PLEDGE spray-on with Lemon, or Old English Liquid Lemon Oil ? ?

Thank you.....David
