We will participate in the Vintage Grand Prix weekend at The Glen.
The Watkins Glen State Park is doing construction and improvements, after Labor Day weekend in all the camping loops they usually have reserved for us. This has caused a mild scramble to find an alternate camping area with enough sites to accommodate our VW camping group.
At Watkins Glen on the weekend of Sept 5-7 is a Vintage racing weekend. It is to celebrate the history of legendary Watkins Glen International during one of the largest sportscar vintage racing events in the United States, featuring a variety of historic cars from as far back as the 1930's with a spotlight on the 2014 marque: MG.
We are in the final negoiations for group camping right at the track.
We know that this weekend of September may conflict with other events and we almost cancelled the Westies at Watkins this year due to a lack of facilities for our group Westies at Watkins camp counselor -
