1990 Vanagon GL - Emergency Brake Cable Replacemen
« on: June 02, 2006, 10:51:02 AM »
From my mechanic - The steel sheathing on my emergency brake cable (right side) has rotted away so the brake cable has collapsed on itself. It can not be adjusted any more.

When replacing the right cable, should I also replace the left cable even if it looks okay?

And, should I also replace the main tension cable from the hand brake to the emergency brake cables even if it looks okay?

Thanks!
