Engine RPM problem
« on: May 15, 2005, 08:16:49 PM »
Help! I have a 1989 Vanagon that idles at startup normaly. As it warms up the engine begins to rev up to 2K and then back to idle.  It does the 2K RPM a few times and then jumps to 3K.  I have moved to Louisiana from San Diego, it is much harder to find VW mechanics here than there. Long story longer, I am on my own. I have changed the injector control Unit, the throttle sensor, the idle controller and the temp sensor.  Still the same symptons.  Any help is much appreciated and I thank you in advance.
