Hey Guys, I know this is a little conflict with Westies at Watkins Glenn but there is some fantastic camping at the All Air-Cooled Gathering in Flanders NJ.
This is our ninth year and we have grown to be the largest air-cooled event in the northeast. Camping [and a party with live music] on Saturday night and the show on Sunday. Last year we had about 175 people camp the night before and over 325 cars [all air-cooled] and 1500 people at the show on Sunday. The event is held at the Swim and Sport Club of Flanders NJ. It's a German Social club with a Bavarian style clubhouse with a full kitchen and bar. If you like good German beer and bratwurst, this is the place. You can sit out on the deck of the clubhouse that overlooks the whole show field and have a beer. Lots of tables under the tall pines that surround the grassy show field. Really, the venue is unbelievable. We got games and activities for the kids, a "Dub Push" race for clubs, and valve cover racing for everyone. Ask Stanagon, he'll tell you how good it is.
