Technical Concerns / Replacement of dashboard

I'm in the process of replacing the complete dash on our 1968 Westfalia. The bundle of wires for the ignition switch and turn signal switch pass through a circular hole in the dash.,and on their way to the steering column.  I'm looking for guidance on the best way to free the wires with out taking all the wires apart. I'm in deep enough with all the dash wires removed. Perhaps other members have run into the same problem

Technical Concerns / sliding door

I have lubricated all points on my 1968 sliding door.  I can't open the door now. Regardless which way I turn the lock on the inside neither the inside or outside handle will work. How can I get the door open and arethere any simple adjustments I can make without being a mechanic ? Will appreciate your help.

Technical Concerns / Front seat removal

I'm trying to remove the driver seat from my 1968 Westfalia. Book says just to pull up the handle and slide the seat out of the track. When I do that,the seat still will not budge. Any suggestions on how I can get it freed up and removed ?
