Bay window concerns / Help with a 1970 campermobile
« on: April 07, 2010, 06:05:01 PM »
Lucy's Lovebus  http://www.lucyslovebus.org/  has a 1970 campermobile westphalia that is being converted into a mobile massage/acupuncture/reiki center for children receiving cancer treatment.  Beecher the mother of Lucy who succumbed to a valiant battle with leukemia at the age of 12, started this charity on the wishes and dreams of Lucy a few days before she passed on.  Any assistance with Lucy's dream will be appreciated.  Visit the website and contact Beecher to offer knowledge to the effort.

Thanks,

Jay

CBussin86,

Skips is right down the road from me, I can talk to them about transporterfest 09'.  I won't unless the rest of NEATO and LIMBO tell me to.  The "show lot" is very big, I have not been to Lars, but I would say from the photos that I saw, Skips is bigger, plus there is food there.  Camping is abundant with in 15 to 30 minutes driving.  The Wards are about 45 minutes to an hour away.

The Routan is just sad.  I truely believe Brook needs to up the Prozac, or she maybe that good of an actress?

I believe the big 3 are in great shape due to having the country's back up against the wall, they are in a win-win situation, while we will all pay either way.  Upfront with a bail out then the come back for more next summer, or if the go bankrupt, they move all operations to China and we are left with unemployment and the federal government assumes the pension fund that the CEO cleaned out like a Haitian Dictator!

I am with you there, I have not made any yet.  I want to, but then my job keeps getting in the way (I would think of quiting, but Stan the Van is quite the mouth to feed!).  Maybe we could come up with some small regional drives and campouts for this area.  I am in the Merrimack Valley and like to go up to NH, VT, ME, and I want to go to Western Ma and explore the back roads as well.
Maybe we can figure something out for this are.

In Merrimack, MA there is an old style drive-in burger joint called Skips.  They have 4 or 5 cruise nights a season, mostly older muscle cars, but a few imports here and there.  It would be fun to have a few Transporters roll in for 1 or 2 of the cruise nights!

Where do you like to go Camping? /
« on: November 21, 2008, 11:52:05 AM »
I have done quite a bit of car camping in NH.  I love the NH stateparks, but alot of them do not allow dogs, and what is camping without the pooch?  Bearbrook Park allows dogs and went there a few weeks ago.  Great hiking trails, nice facilities, good bicycling, nice ponds, and people shut up at a decent hour.

I have been to a few Nat. forest campgounds, they are nice, and allow dogs, I liked Wildwood off 118. Then there is the Triple I Road in Thorton, NH.  Buy a permit and pull over along the road at a nice spot.  No facilities, but it is nice.

I have stayed in a few private owned places West of I-93, pretty good, most have hookups, some are better priced than others.  There are 2 nice ones off 25 in the Rumney and Wentworth area that are nice and a few private spots.  Would be nice for group to get a block of spots.  There was a great place in Haverhill on 25 that we used to go to for a few years.  Each spot was over 50 yards apart and most had views of the olivarian valley that would take your breath away.  Unfortunately the family that owned it had an internally feud and shut down.  the price there was like 15 dollars a night with a load af fire wood that would last 2 nights of good campfires and cooking, miss that place.
