Aug 21-24 (Thur-Sun) Jim Thorpe, PA - Mauch Chunk Lake Park campout. Shady camping under the trees. Water spigot available in the group area. Flush toilets and showers nearby. Pot luck dinner Sat. night in the adjacent pavilion. Kids activities on Friday. Lake with boat access (launch permit required- electric motor only), rental canoes, kayaks and row boats available, fishing (PA license required 16 and older), Sandy beach with lifeguards, snack bar, biking and hiking trails. Minutes from historic Jim Thorpe, PA...ride the train, whitewater rafting on the Lehigh River Gorge, bike or hike the rail trail through the Gorge, Old Jail tour, Mansion tour, coal mines tour and more!!!
