Anyone have experience with auto tranny in Vanagon or Bay window bus's?<br>Guy trying to sell me one says they're "bulletproof" and "faster than a stick". Can anyone verify or give an opinion based on actual experience? Thanks, Stickman

The Vanagon automatics are pretty stout units. Boston Bob (www.bostonengine.com (http://www.bostonengine.com)) has had several over the years and they are usually good drivers. He still has two now that his wife and kids drive regularly. <br><br>They can be quick on acceleration or "dogs", depending on condition.
