What is the fuel capacity of an '83 Westy? My gas gauge is defective and am trying to determine when I am getting close to empty.<br><br>Also, recently noticed a faint odor of burning oil. I need to drive this vehicle back to MA from Wisconsin but am wondering if this smell is an ominous sign of impending doom. <br>Thanks,<br>Guest

i think it's around 14 gal. take a 2 gal gas can and tie it on the roof rack for the just in case.keep a eye in the rear veiw mirror for any heavy smoke, keep a few qts of oil , and the 2 most important things to take with you ,<br>1 - cell phone,phone card <br>2- airs list<br>http://www.type2.com/~airswork/rescue/index.html<br>have a safe trip home
