Ive been running the EMPI 4 tip extractor on my 77 bus. Last night the muffler can itself blew out a rust hole and now the entire drivers side of the can is pretty much obliterated.
Ive found the same style EMPI 4 tip extractor
http://http://www.cip1.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=ACC-D-2073
and the Bus Depot "stock looking" extractor
http://http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=352000
I am running the stock 3 bolt flange heater boxes and really cant do a coversion right now to the more desireable earlier/later style boxes.
Does anyone have any experiance with either of these exhausts? Whats youre impression on the install and quality?

Hi Mike, we used the Bus Depot one.
http://busdepot.com/details.jsp?partnumber=352000
on our 78 bus and my brothers 78 westy.
Seems like good quality, pretty thick metal. Should last a good long time. On my brothers, we needed to spread out the 2 ends that connect to the heater boxes on the muffler about 1/2 inch in order to get them to line up properly in order to bolt them on, but other than that, works great and runs nice and quiet.
All in all, very happy with both.
